Upper plate: Normal series 1969-93. Orange plate (faded to white) = Commercial and public transport. The registration translates as 39774 above 14-Tehran. Lower plate: Foreign travel series 1969-98. TEH = Tehran (all foreign travel plates had the code for Tehran).

Lower plate: Normal series 1969-93. Orange plate (faded to yellow) = Commercial and public transport. The registration translates as 42419 above 14-Tehran. Upper plate: Foreign travel series 1969-98. TEH = Tehran (all foreign travel plates had the code for Tehran). This is the trailer to TEH-94633 on page 1. Foreign travel plates had a different number for the trailer, whereas the Farsi plates were the same for truck and trailer.
