PHILIPPINES (RP)

A new series with three letters and four numerals was introduced in 2014. Regional coding was by means of a legend. In 2018 a revised series with the first letter denoting the region was introduced. Photo from 2019 courtesy of Alf Nybru, where C is the regional code letter for Central Luzon.

YEC 652 Normal series 1981-2014. 2003-14 plate style. Y = Central Visayas. Green lettering = Private vehicles. The slogan "Matatag na republika" means "Strong republic."
